Fontane Blätter
The Fontane Blätter were founded in 1965 as a semi-annual publication of the Theodor Fontane Archive. Since 1994, they have been published jointly on behalf of the Theodor Fontane Archive and the »Theodor Fontane Gesellschaft e.V«. They are not only a historical and scientific testimony and a venue for important editions of material by and about Fontane, but also the most important periodical for Fontane research to this day.
Contributions to the Fontane Blätter are reviewed by an independent advisory board in accordance with the peer review process. The editors decide on publication together with the advisory board.
Fontane Blätter retrodigital
The first 56 volumes of the Fontane Blätter, published since 1965, have been retro-digitized in cooperation with the Potsdam University Library and can now be viewed, searched and downloaded as PDFs in Open Access, free of charge on this website or on the »Digitales Brandenburg« portal.
Digital supplements to the Fontane Blätter
With the Digital Supplements to the Fontane Blätter, the Theodor Fontane Archive and the »Theodor Fontane Gesellschaft e.V.« have established a digital publication series in 2021, which will appear at irregular intervals and publish larger volumes of documents by and about Theodor Fontane and his time in accordance with Open Access.
