The Society of Friends and Supporters of the Theodor Fontane Archive
Friends and supporters of the Theodor Fontane Archive experience more, are closer and are the first to be informed – even beyond the anniversary year 2019. The »Gesellschaft der Freunde und Förderer des Theodor-Fontane-Archivs e.V.« (Society of Friends and Supporters of the Theodor Fontane Archive) aims to support the Fontane Archive in its function as a significant literary archive and center of the international Fontane research, and to emphatically highlight and illustrate its academic and cultural position in the public eye.
Image: TFAIn particular, the association supports the archive ideally and materially in the preservation and further consolidation and supplementation of Fontane’s estate: in the realization of diverse editions projects, in indexing, and museum as well as medial presentation of the archival holdings. In cooperation with the neighbouring institutions, the Friend’ Association contributes an important part to the »Culture at the Pfingstberg« with public events.
The main goal of the society is to make this archive, which is so important for the person and the work of Fontane, even more visible to the public than before and to further develop it as a place for professional discussions, for the exchange of research results, and for meetings of Fontane friends, pupils and students.

To achieve this, we need you now…
Become a friend or supporter of the Theodor Fontane Archive and contribute with your membership fees and donations to support the diverse activities of the archive. We would be delighted to have your active support.
As a member of the Society of Friends and Supporters of the Theodor Fontane Archive we regularly invite you to all events where you can get to know the house, its staff and their work. In addition to the extensive annual program of the archive, friends and supporters of the Fontane Achive can take advantage of special events with a look behind the scenes. And, of course, you will receive the prestigious biannual journal, the Fontane Blätter, published on behalf of the Theodor Fontane Archive and the Theodor Fontane Society.
We also offer supporters additional exclusive tours and lectures, name recognition on a plaque in the foyer as well as participation at presentations of acquisitions.
As a welcome gift, you will receive the current issue of the Fontane Blätter as well as the publication Leuchtfeuer. 20 kulturelle Gedächtnisorte, in which the Theodor Fontane Archive is introduced alongside the other 19 cultural places of remembrance of national importance.
